Default holding the crank still while removing crank bolt?

tips? I hav most of the tear down done for the cam/spring install. but how do you hold the crank pull still while backing the bolt out?

nope. A4. I read something a ring gear locking tool, but where the heck do I find one of those?

kent moore flywheel/flexplate tool. thats the best way.

you can be ghetto and stick a big screw driver in to the teeth and lock it up.

1/2 impact gun.I had to get a torch and heat the bolt on some, but they came out with no problems.

Not recomended with the wonderfull stock flywheels we have . I've seen warped and cracks form because of this method (On my first 01)

Proper locking tool (Moore)_ is a much better way.
