ARP rod bolt install...
So i did the ARP rod bolts a couple days ago. Not th epro series the standard ones.
Everythign seems ok so far! oil pressure is fine no knocking noises i think.
Pretty straight forward...remove oil pac, remove windage tray, remove rod bolts one by one. tq wrench set to 45lbs and tighten loosed 4-5 times per ARP with their lube stuff.
I guess my car will live another race(hopefully) and i am guessing now i can feel a little more secure about trapping around 6800 rpms on the stock shortblock?

I just want you guys to realize...ARP stuff "deforms" the bearing differently than stock. I will bet your clearances are different since they are clamping different. Hope it works out for you. keep us posted.

So far so good. A few romps on the throttle and about 3 hours worth of driving so far and oil pressure is still good. Keep in mind these are not the "pro" version..not AS hard so i would "think" the deformation is less. Even if the clearances are changed I am sure it is so minimal it will not make a difference. We'll see how they like 7K rpms this weekend.
