Default ARP main stud ?

I ordered a set of ARP main studs. Are they supposed to come with side mains? Mine didn't. If not, do they make side mains? It's just my luck that the block Joe Prince sent me came with factory main bolts, but no side mains. It probably got line honed that way

I got the main stud kit and there were no side mains. I guess the factory ones are fine? I would assume there isn't near as much load on the side as in the middle.

Hey Bravo, Hows it going?? My motor is all fixed and coming together now. Damage was around $3500. I got a new bore, 4.135, new pistons, new cam, new LSX intake and TB, new Water Pump and so on and so on. The $3500 was just for the fixing of the motor. All theother goodies were extra. I have a 242/242 612 112 for sale cheap if u need a cam. I also have an LS6 intake and Yella Terra rockers. Maybe U can save some money. Good Luck with your build up. Bear

We reuse the factory sidebolts, but you can buy some from arp there 8mm. The side bolts torque to 19 lbs./ft and are critical to the align hone. When you check the bore without the sidebolts with a dial bore gauge then put them in, the bore will grow about .0003-.0004. This is if its align honed with the sidebolts in the motor.
