Default cam swap

i am thinking about doing a cam swap tomorrow after i get home from work. i can get the dex cool and all that stuff. i would like to put on the ported oil pump but don't have the double chain so it would be dumb. but the only real question i have it what size fitting do i need to use in the spark plug hole. i can probably get it at work tomorrow i just don't know what size it is. any tips for the swap would be great. for my next cam swap it should be easy since it will be done on the engine stand for the new motor.

Default Re: cam swap

Use the hose off a compression tester for the spark plug hole. I'm assuming that you are looking at changing the springs and want to hold the valves up. Also remember to remove the check valve from the compression tester hose. A bicycle valve stem tool can easily pluck that valve out. It's simply threaded into the fitting. If you don't do that no air will flow through the hose.

I hope that's what you were looking for. Good luck.
