Default LG 222/228 113 LSA vs Comp 231/237

Specs: 222/228 .567"/.583" 113LSA Is anyone using this cam? A local has this cam for sale, but another friend has a comp 231/237 112 .589/.595 on an XER that I may possibly buy. Which do you think would work better with stock heads? Drivability isnt a huge deal to me, I dont drive in stop and go hardly at all, mostly highway. Im looking for the cam that will perform the best street racing, and at the track. The car is a 6-speed. Thanks.

The XE-R. It will pay off later when you get some ported heads.

Yes, the XE-R will give you better gains under the curve as well due to the fast ramps.

Make sure it's a COMP XE-R cam. The TSP 231/237 (.598/.595) is a Lunati grind I believe and is not on XE-R lobes.

Its a speed inc custom grind. I called speed inc and they said it was on an XE-R lobe.

The 231/237 .598/.595 112+2 Camshaft is our TSP 231/237 cam. It is produced by Lunati for us & is a specific grind only for TSP.

I was aware of that, but this cam was custom ground by speed inc for my friend, and now hes moving to your magic stick V3.

FWIW I picked up 48 rwhp & 30 rwtq with the tsp 231/237 cam package, with stock heads. This is on an a4 c5, an underdrive pulley was also installed though.
