will this be to much cam?
Hey I have hooker headers off road y pipe b&b catback mti lid, and a 125 wet shot. I want to do a cam, and i want one that makes plenty of power i dont care if it lopes at idle and i have a m6 i was thinking about G1 MTI cam, 228/232 i daily drive this car so it needs to be decent and i know i am gonna lass gas millage but by how much. I was thinking with the cam i would do springs and retainers i already have pushrods and I would do a ls6 manifold, and p&p TB. What do you suggest for my car?

well you WILL need new springs with that cam. you won't think about doing them, you just WILL. ls6 manifold would be a good idea too. thats sort of a basic bolt on that you need for any sort of serious mods. how many miles on your car? may want to swap out your timing chain, at least for a new stock one, if not for a jwis. keep the motor a little tighter. gas mileage usually isn't lost much, its all in the tuning. also, use the search button. all your questions have been answered before

I have a comp Xer 226/232 .588/.596 114 in an auto, stock gear, 3500 yank. it drives pretty nice, a little surge here and there when i start it up. i have a stock catback and it sounds so docile is crazy. ive got almost full bolt-ons(missing electric water pump and t-body). i usually get about 15-16 miles per gallon. on a side note, i have had the set of 918s in my car for about 9 months and holding strong. hope this helps.
