Default Harland Sharp RR's

I am going to install my 1.7 Harland Sharp roller rockers tomorrow night and had a few questions. Can I just R+R them like stockers and torque to 22 ft lbs? I have stock length pushrods, stock replacement lifters, and 253/257 duration 643/648 lift cam. I am hoping I won't have to screw around with shims. Any help is greatly appreciated.

560 rwhp, any help on the rockers is greatly appreciated. I'm pretty sure its a simple R+R, but want to make sure.

Tighten them down just like the stock rockers.

I got these on my T/A and I'm taking them off. Even with 918 springs, I get valve float in the 6K range, and possibly power loss, as I was expecting to dyno around 390/360 instead of the numbers you see in my sig. Several people from this site have recommended staying with stock rockers. Just a heads up.

I have a set of these waiting to go on also, so I guess we'll see what happens. One thing to keep in mind is that the stock rockers are thinner and will flex, plus the HS rockers have the added weight of the roller tip. I would use heavier double springs with these than 918's.

I just installed the rockers, I am a little dissapointed with the fit. The rockers on the ends rub on the head casting. I have heard of this happening before, but I was hoping I could get away clean. I torqued the rockers to 22 ft lbs, the motor turns over all the way, but I can see where the back of the rocker is rubbing on the head. I am probably going to pull the heads and use a dremel to "clearance" the offending areas. Damn I hate aftermarket parts sometimes!

Yeah, I've been seeing a lot of threads with people having clearance issues using these RRs. Trial and error.

I don't know about the stock rockers flexing. That seems pretty far fetched. Most people have a problem with the stockers' needle bearings falling out if they're used with an aggressive cam, but even that isn't widespread.

I have not had any issues with mine. I did have to shim them but that is due to the Comp R lifters. Other than that R&R like normal.

You have perimeter bolt heads? If so I think thats where your clearance problems lie.

I have AFR heads, they are centerbolt style, I think it was just variances in castings.
