Default Installing new Spring seats, are there stock seats to remove?

I just got a crane dual spring kit with spring seats. I never had to deal with spring seats before. Are there stock seats in the heads that need to be removed first? I don't have my car torn apart yet, so I can't take a look at it.

Thanks!

If you are going from the stocker to the cranes you will have to change the seat. Once you get the spring off you will see the seat there and all you have to do is remove the old one and drop the new one on and you are good to go

Pull the stock seats off ( flimsy stamped steel peices) and place the new ones over the valve guide. You will have to remove the stock valve seal. I use a pair of pliers and gently pull them off.

Depending on year, the seal/seat were one in the late model 01/02 and newer LS1s.
