Default 241 heads on a 2000 LS1?

I was at a friends house tonight when we noticed something that we had over-looked for the longest time. I was under the assumption that GM started putting the 241 casting heads on the F-bods in 01, but tonight while looking at my engine closely, we saw the good old 241 stamp on the heads. I thought they were 853 castings for the longest time. Talk about a surprise.

I too just noticed my car has 241 heads. That made my day. How much difference in power is there between the 853 and 241 heads?

My 99 engine had 853's but my 2000 engine has 241's. It's nothing special most 2000's on have the 241's.

The 241's flow a tad more CFM than the 853's and usually make 5-10 more rwhp. Many tuners have confirmed this.
