Default Are these heads too much?

There's a guy on this site selling a pair of MTI stage 3 heads complete with springs, retainers, and 2.08 intake valves for $1800. I know that's a damn good price, but I'm wondering about those big valves. My car is basically stock right now, but I'll be doing heads, cam, intake, LT's, and a converter all within the next month or so. I plan on building a motor within the next year, and I don't want to have to buy heads twice. Is it worth it for me to put these heads on now, or is it overkill?

Thanks guys.

I think those stage 3 are designed for a 4.00" bore and up so if you are going to through them on the stock shortblock it will not work. I am not sure but you need to find out as most sponsors stage 3 heads have material removed from the combustion chamber to accomodate the larger 4" bore and will drop compression and cause all kinds of flame propogation ill effects on a 3.9" (stock) bore.

Thanks for the info. That's exactly the kind of stuff I need to know. I appreciate it.
