I've had no problems with my Patriot 5.3L Stage II's as of yet. My car made decent power on the dyno and pulls very hard on the street. However, I do have a flat spot in rwtq from 3300-3900rpms where my torque only climbs 10 ft lbs and when I compared a car with the same tune, same everything the only difference being different heads well his curve was very smooth and didn't have this flat spot. A few others have noticed this flat spot also with the PP 5.3L heads. Really that's my only complaint with them. I think they put up decent numbers for running cats @ a small cam but I just hate that flat spot in my torque curve.

the new design is very new so not many people have them. i have an opportuntiy to post up indepent flow and specs, and flow through the ls6 intake. stay tuned in the next couple of weeks. these heads wont be on my car and im not buying them. this will just be info from an impartial observer, im very curious of the results myself.

WinMan, Considering you are untuned I would have it tuned before jumping to any conclusions. Mine however has been LS1 Edit tuned and at that rpm range I have an 12.9-1 AFR flat as an arrow across the board so I don't think it's in the tuning. My tuner Mikey mentioned he's seen this before with the Patriot 5.3L heads and it was brought up not too long ago here at LS1tech about why they have that dead spot also. BTW Those are some awesome numbers for being untuned!

haha thanks man...... let me describe my situation more. I have a tune from thunder racing in there for my old hotcam w/ stock heads setup. So, my tune is not far off. But it could be far off enough to cause that spot there. I 100% agree, no jumping to conculsions until the tune.
