Default Schubeck axleless solid rollers!!

Its in the latest Chevy High Performance,Schubeck solid rollers with no roller bearings!The roller runs on a film of oil around the circumferance of the roller,NO axle!No roller bearings to fail,didn"t mention if there availiable for the LS1 yet.Cstaub was talking about these a few weeks ago,they look great!

yes they are available for the LS1. they are expensive though.

Shubeck is a smart man, you can thank him for the design of the "blow proof" bellhousing that Lakewood has mfg for years.

The lifter is just a new twist on old technology. How many of you out there remember Mushroom Tappet cams. . .

Carl,
The "NC Boys" would raduis the mushrod tappets to accept flank rates in the .008" range. . .then "the rules" came down and out they went. Sorry I read my own post and it was not clear. More coffee.

the new X lifters are close to $1000.00 a set, about $950.00 shipped

not say they are not worth it, just saying they are pricey

Not that pricey considering that if you euchre a SR lifter from low oil or no manitainence then you are spending more $$$$

Sounds neat... wonder what kind of tolerances they need to work correctly.. IE wtf happens when you have low oil pressure at X psi.

how often are people pulling their SR lifters and replacing them? I had always heard you are "safe" with about 50K miles.....
