Default Help no oil pressure ...

installed SLP oil pump and double roller timing chain. No pressure. Removed motor mounts and got the engine higher then dropped the front crossmember to gain room. Dropped the pan and removed the pickup tube - placed a new o-ring and re-installed the pan - still no pressure. Any ideas????

Default Re: Help no oil pressure ...

nevermind I figured it out- major fu@# up. First I installed the spacer backwards and cracked the front housing - got it welded and figured ahh-ha i'll just cut it to fit - ya uh-hu right now there is a gap behind the oil pump where the oil travels into the block, resulting in no pressure. Don't laugh to hard here just telling my screw-up to hopefully save someone else from this.
