Default Would this shorten engine life?

well going off the same T/A I was talking about in another thread of mine, im wondering something about the engine.

I havent really looked at it, since it was dark and all, but according to the carfax I got on the car, the oil was changed usually every 10-12k miles.

Ive read they made them able to go to 10k miles per change, and I suppose if the oil life monitor said it was ok it would be fine. The vehicle was a lease vehicle and probably only was taken care of at a dealer, but in doing so it had other services performed as well.

So what im asking is on a 46k mile engine, would these habbits effect its overall life? I usually stuck by the mobile 1/royal puple every 2500 miles, but this person probably did not.

If it was synthetic, I'm sure it's fine.

If not, run.

synthetic oil is good for 6 or 10k miles, but they don't make oil filters that last that long.....

So to answer the question, I would run.....a car w/ 46k miles should have had atleast 15 oil changes....vs. 4 ?????

Sorry to here about that man bu tyu made a good decision. I didn't end up getting the first T/A is was looking at. Incredibly I ended up finding the exact car I was looking for.
