Default How high to rev with F11 cam?

I am getting the futral F11 cam put in right now.. its a 228/230 .575/.595 with a 114+4 lobe seperation.. I have a 3200 Vig and 3.42 gears.. What kind of shift points should i be looking at when i get it dyno tuned? I was thinking of setting the shift points at 6500 because i don't want my bottom end to go on me.. Should i shift it around 6300 in first then up it to 6500 in 2nd and 3rd? What are your opinions or what have you done with your car? Should i rev it past 6500? Please help me out for when i get it dyno tuned! Thanks

Choose your shift points based on where the cam peaks. This is where the dyno comes in handy.

on the stock shortblock i kept it to 6500. i now have a forged shortblock, arp rod bolts, yada yada yada, so im good for 7k+ provided the valvetrain could keep up. i dont plan to spin this motor high though anyway, custom cam is being spec'd for a 2-6k powerband.

what everyone else spins there motor to is inconsequential to how high you should yours. the condition of your shortblock, where your cam peaks, and tuning are things you need to consider.

well i really don't want to mess up my shortblock or ruin anything.. i was thinking 6500 would be good for shift points.. which is not too high but not too low.. the cam could peak higer but i don't think it would be good on the shortblock unless i get the arp rod bolts and the whole deal.. thanks for the help guys!
