TR224 112 users and similar come inside
hey guys i was wondering how this cam would suit me i have a m6 looking for decent idle with some chop to it good power gains i will be adding longtubes and putting stock exhaust back on with a cut out, how will this sound with cutout open closed and just wanted your opinions on how you like your cam what you wished you would have went with or any other comments, if anybody has any soundclips of this id like to hear it

I'm really quite happy with the TR 224. It has a pretty good lope (could be a little more for me). I have it idling at stock (800) rpm and it never "dies" unless I try to drive before the engine warms up (problem also due to colder plugs).
I had a 234/230 ground and tried it but p-to-v clearance was too tight so I could not use it. After that, I almost went with the TR 230/224 but I didn't want to risk having to buy three cams (another if that didn't fit) so I just went the safe route.
If your going to LTs and you have the exhaust off, have you thought about going to true duals? They sound so much better that ANY "factory style" exhaust out there...ANY!!! There is a guy that builds them for MAC mids. Talk to him and see if he can build you a "basic" setup so all a muffler shop would have to do is mate them to the headers.

yea i thought about true duals cuz i would save the money on the expensive *** y pipe and put it towards the true duals but im not sure i want it that loud how much would a true dual system be to run it out the back,.....bout the cam i just dont want something too radical but i want it to sound nice with good gains i considered a TR220 112 and a T1 cam

I was interested in the same set up with the stock catback and also had the same questions.

well then ttt for us bud...do you need tuning with the tr224 or will it do ok on stock tuning for a while till i can get ls1 edit because thats what i plan on doing

anybody have a sound clip of this cam through a cutout, any clue on times i should run and numbers put down with 99 M6 Z06 clutch NGK's Direct flow lid and holley filter with LT's TR224 112 and a cutout?

I have the TR224 in my car with stock tuning. It hunts every once in a while and Im sure theres more power to be had but its pretty much flawless so far.You should be happy till you get it tuned.
