Default 346 Max HP on pump gas

I was just at MTI and was told that no 346 would make 460 RWHP N/A.

Any thoughts on this?

I’ve read several threads about 346’s making 440-470 N/A

Didn't one of the shops(it was Thunder or TSP, forget which) have a reworked 347(it was a cleaned up 346) that almost broke 500(or did) rwhp NA? yes, you can do it. whoever told you that is wrong.

I think Alan Futral made 500 on his 346 with a solid roller setup. But I think he might of been using race gas, Hmm I am not sure.

Yea... It's not important who said it..

Just thought it was a little interesting that their 475 (fwhp) package is the MAX a 346 can put out.. haha

I then said that there are some cars that have been on their dyno making that much and he said that he has never seen it.

Oh well...

See sig - but definitely not on pump gas. Race gas is almost as cheap as pump gas lately!

505 N/A is pretty sweet, good job!

If my heads ever show up from absolute never ship my crap, inc then maybe I can play in the 460 range with the right cam and good building.

Didn't Rapid make 500+ and offer that package earlier this year? I seem to recall so.... They made the heads/cam/used a FAST 90 setup and tuned it.

I don't see why you couldn't make more power than that, it's just gonna cost some money that's all
