there is even another thread on the NEXT PAGE about rebuilding our motors in an economical fashion, b/c I am in a similar position(except I am doing it b/c I want to avoid breaking a part, not b/c i did. hopefully i will save some money this way, not be as rushed. do a search like Venom said, you'll **** yourself when you see what comes up. i got ten pages of results when i just used the word "rebuild" in my search.

Yeah I have 115k on my stock motor and stuff started to break, first it was oil pressure sending unit, then oil pump, then a knock generated from the valvtrain. so I just pulled the motor and I am in the process of rebuilding it. Already mic'd the block, pistons, checked the rods and crank, all seems to be good, well other than the number 5 cylinder is actually a little smaller than the rest. So everything is getting cleaned and i will rering the pistons put new cam, rod, main bearings, new oil pump, lifters, and all gaskets and seals and I spend around 600 bux and it will be back together in a couple of days and ready to drop back in. hope that helps.
