Default will a big block fit in the Z28?

anybody tried this yet? i got a 565ci that makes 900 on pump gas at the motor sitting here in my shop not being used...thinking about doing the ol' switch aroo on the camaro. has anybody done this yet? i can deal with cutting the windshield but if i need to like move the shock towers i'll just make a damn chassis car. thanks for the help.

It won't fit. The heads are too wide to fit between the shock towers.

Sure it will, been done a bunch of times. Here is one example. BMR makes a k-member that has BBC motor mounts on it, so its a virtual bolt-in affair.

It'd probably be even hella' more $$ to get it to run with A/C, and all the other power luxuries, eh?

With that kind of power I would want a tube chasis though. If you can build one that would be awsome with the Fbody skins.

There are LS1s making more power than what's quoted above and they aren't running a tube chassis. They're running over 160 MPH in the 1/4, too.

yah its got all of that stuff...its one of two that came out of a race boat. but my buddy does all the chassis work for the cars at another shop...it'll be right. plus i got a 500 fogger kit already made up for a big block that some dipshit changed his mind about at the last second sittin here too. hehe i'm thinking 7's. thats crazy though that bmr makes that stuff i was looking forward to the puzzle too? oh well should be fun anyways.
