First off, if you plan on h/c, you'll definitely want some lt's and a LS6 intake so you can make the best use of the h/c. Unless you plan on a baby cam, the hpp3 will essentially be useless for tuning, so get LS1edit or HPtuners etc.

As for good prices, check in the for sale section of the forum. You'll be able to find some good prices on some slightly used and even some new items. Also check in the sponsor section, from time to time some of the sponsors have some garage sales with some good used parts. Take a look at JRP's signature too, there's some very helpful cam and exhaust information in there.

I know that you asked about cams, but I don't see an aftermarket TC or headers in your list of mods..

You definitely want to do headers before or at the same time as the cam. Cams need to breathe..

Also, you'd pick up a lot more time/performance wise with a new TC.

Whether you race from a roll (psch) or the line, a TC will be of benefit in one way or anything. Just go into the User Cp section and toy around to create whatever kind of signature you want.
