Default Tsp 231/237 112lsa

ok from what i understand this cam is really good for spray. but i'm also thinking of running a ati setup instead of the 150 shot. the lsa is too small for the blower right? if i retard the cam when i install it will that make it more blower friendly? now i know i should just go buy a cam that would work with it but this thing has been sitting in my office for about 6 months i want to use it bad. so what do you guys think? screw it and go with the juice, retard the cam for a blower setup?

If you have the money, I would by all means go with the blower. With the blower you can have all that power any time you want, whereas the spray has to be refilled often if you use it often.

I agree, plus you can't beat the sound of a blower! I would get a different cam though if you're gonna go that route.

I asked my engine builder if retarding a cam would actually give me more power in a certain RPM range. He said that every time that he has tried to advance or retard a cam, he lost power on one end, and did not gain on the other.
It made sense to me. Maybe someone has experiemented with cam timing and dyno numbers???

You really neeed a cam with like a 114.5 or 115 LSA to bleed some of the presure off !
231/237 would be a good cam just dont know aobut the LSA and your cylinder presure!

thats what i figured. i wonder what would happen if i ran low boost? if i would gain as much across the curve over spray.

I thought reverse split cam's were best for FI setups? Larger intake duration that exhaust duration.

not sure. for some reason i have in my mind for a basic rule nitrous cams are basicly blower cams with less lsa. why i think that i have no clue anyone know if thats kinda true or not?

Thought would say you will need more exhaust due to forcing the charge in on the lower intake.
I have that cam and its good DD and spray. If you like the rest of the cam but want to use it for FI, get one ground on 116*, my friends D1SC WS6 rocks. I know you already have the 112*, but a thought.
The 112* will not do good with the FI. Really, I would like to go with the 116* for spray as well.
