I'm sorta new to ls1's, but i've been hanging around in the shadows around the site for the past couple weeks just trying to learn stuff. I'd like to get a 98 and up ls1 of some sort soon and i want to end up with a low to mid 11 second somewhat driveable daily driver. I dont care so much bout mileage, just that it will be reliable. I was debating on wether or not to get some kind of stroker kit, tr224 cam and some ported 6 liter heads with a built 9 inch and all the other goodies. The other choice is to do some kind of turbo kit. I dont have a gigantic budget, but money to throw around. Either way the car will have all the same chassis/suspension mods, its just the motor choices that'll differ. What i like about n/a is i can have a fast street car, then on friday nights throw slicks on and squeeze a 125 shot and have a 10 second car. I'd like to know how streetable running some kind of all motor combo is compared to running a turbo kit.
