Single Rollmaster timing chain?
I am installing a comp cams 236/240 xer lobed cam, is the Rollmaster single timing chain strong enough or should I go for the double heat treated? I have been told that the double may have clearance problems with an asp crank pulley. Any body running the double with the asp pulley?

From what I was told by Futral Motorsports, the ASP underdrive pulley needs to be machined to clear the Double Rollmaster Timing Chain setup. I got a single for my cam swap so I will not have to worry about it. Your cam is pretty big so you probably will be revving high. Maybe the double would be the way to go for your application. You can always do a search, I am sure your question was probably already asked.

Always go for a double. It's cheap insurance. The cost and time expense are nothing compared to a broken chain. All chains stretch over time, a double will probably last longer.
