Default Best stock replacement lifters and rockers?

I've kind of been out of the LS1 loop for a while and I dont know of all the new different products out there on the market. I'm having a motor built currently to replace my trashed stock one that had 80k miles on it. I'm trying to reuse as little as possible on the motor since it did have 80k miles on it and it is probably a good time for the lifters/rockers to be replaced unless someone tells me they are ok for like 200k miles or something lol....anyways what is out there that will be closest to stock for both lifters and rockers that are just maybe a nicer unit than stock or even really close to stock? Any help would be awesome!
Thanks
Jay

Delphi's or Eaton's are your only choices, just depends on whose box they come in. Morels are the best but they are double the money.

If I was to rebuild mine I'd go with a set of stock lifters or stock type aftermarket (non CompR) and get the modified stock rockers from Harland Sharp. But that is MHO.

Not saying they aren't any good. Just seem to to be more of a pain in the *** than anything else. If you have someone that can set the lash correctly to "whatever the latest preload is" then you would be problem free. Problem is they require adjustable rockers as well. MO is they aren't worth the trouble. They may be needed though in a high lift high spring pressure setting.

Comp-R's are good. Most people lack the tools and know-how to set them up properly so they get poor results. So, in turn, they bash them as not being any good when, 99.9% of the time, they installed them incorrectly. If you go with Comp-R's just have them setup properly and you're good to go.

well MTI is building the motor so i would prolly just get the lifters through there and I am assuming they know what they are doing do you have the comp R lifters in yer motor cannibal?

Yes they would know. Don't forget to pick up the adjustable rockers.

Just FYI, you can get the stock ones refurbished at Nasty Nate's with C-clips and new trunions. That way no clearance issues and no more bearing spills..
As for the lifters, Comp Cam 850-16 replacements are fine and handle over .600 lifts no problem.

^^^ that is what Predator is talking about. They are done by HS I believe ^^^ and it is way cheaper than $600. Think it is $280.

heh, well what I did wasnt as good as a Shaner, or Jantzer, but it cost me under $10 for a dremel bit basically and some epoxy. I couldnt tell if it was a gain, because the gain IS so minimal, it's not a big gain to feel. I figured it was better off shaved out anyway. It's definitely better than stock. I'll talk to you at MIR about it if you're still going up with Robbie.
