Truck Crank vs. FBody/Vette
Which crank is stronger?
I know the F-Body/Vette crank is lighter but it is only hollow in the center so there is not a lot of difference in the rotational force between the two. If the mass was taken off of the counterweights I could see the benefit, but is gun drilled crank actually able to withstand the same amount (or more) punishment as the 5.3/6.0 crank?
Has anyone ever seen any type of fatuigue test between the two?
Also what was teh purpose of the gun drilled crank and why was it not used uin the trucks?
