Default How is this cam setup?

Im about to order a cam for a early christmas present, ive searched and see that the TR 224/224 .563/.563 112LSA is highly respected. This is my daily driver, but since Im in college I only really drive once or twice a week. My power goal is 390 - 400 rwhp, ive seen many people with a good tune have gotten this (I go to TEA for tunes so thats not a problem).

I was just thinking about getting Thunder Racing Dual valve spring cam swap package it includes:
- TR 224/224 .563/.563 112LSA
- Crane Cams 144832-16 Valve Springs
- Crane Cams 144661 Titanium Retainers
- Crane Cams 144460-16 Hardened Seats
- 11-VS-UV5001-EO Valve Stem Seals
- Thunder Racing Stock Length Pushrods (7.400)

Is this setup good? Do I actually need everything here? Are there any better parts for the price? The whole setup is $800.00
Also, with this setup will I be able to rev any higher then 6k?

Thanks alot!

Also would you reccomend I change anything else while doing the cam swap? Better timing chain? Would I benefit from Ported LS6 oil pump?

Your cam choice is a good one and will rev over 6000 rpm. A 3.73 gear with this cam would be perfect. But to get close to 390 hp you will need to use ASP pully if your heads are not ported.

I would use the Compcams 918 spring with stock retainers, locks, and no spring seat. This would save you around 100.00 or more.

If your car has low miles, I would not change timing chain or port the oil pump.
