Default Need Major Help After Head Swap!!

i pulled my heads to change my lifters, and to make sure everything was in order before i spray, and after the install i had super loud valve train noise...i bought comp stock replacement lifters from tsp and they are supposed to be just like stock. it souded like every rocker was either clacking loud as hell, and the idle was really rough...i think my torque wrench is right...but even if it was off a few pounds, would it make that much of a noise?

No over / under torque +- a few pound feet would not do that.

Is there any play up and down with the pushrods? The lifters will take a few seconds to get pumped up, did you soak them in oil before installing them?

i soaked the lifters, and i torqued all my rockers to 22 ft lbs..and when i cracked it up it was like a hard miss with a super rough idle, and a ton of valve-train noise..i just dont get it...

Is there any play in the pushrods? Can you turn them by hand after the rocker has been torqued down?
