Default 98 PCM with 99 longblock motor???

Was wondering if i could reuse the stock 98 PCM while installing a 99 longblock into my car. I'm having trouble getting it to start and was wondering if this might be an issue.

You'll probably get a faster answer to that one if you post the question in PCM Diagnostics and Tuning.

There is some involved procedure to do it, and I think the newest version of hptuners has a way to do it too. It's sometimes called case learn too, if you want to go searching for it...
