Default 60 cc heads.....what compression is that?

I have a 2001 Z28 (LS1) and would like to know what the factory 5.7 heads cc is and what the compression ratio would be with 60 cc heads (if gaskets, pistons, etc. stay the same...).

Thanks guys

Chris

I may be wrong in saying this because I haven't done alot of research on this but aren't the stockers 60cc? They aren't far off if they are different. I believe 6.0's are 67cc so the stockers are smaller just not sure exactly how much

60cc should be 11.0 to 1 compression

60cc? Can anyone confirm this? What if you milled them .030, then what do you get? What is the thickness of a stock head gasket? .060?

Stock LS1 heads are 67.5 cc
" " LS6 heads are 64.0 cc

60 cc on either head would bring the CR to about 11.0

I thought that the stock LS1 heads were 70, the LS6 heads were 67 and the 60cc combustion chamber that your talking about is a milled set of LS6 heads. If you look at the SLP heads (not to buy or anything) but it says that the have been milled to make a 64cc chamber.

11.03:1 with 60 cc chambers. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Compressed stock head gasket thickness is 1.33 mm or 0.0524".

Stock LS1 chambers: ~67.3cc

You go wizkid, stock 5.7 is around 67cc, 6.0 heads are 70cc, the 4.8/5.3 heads are around 58 cc and once we CNC them to unshroud the valves it comes out to 63cc, which is 10.8:1.
