Big Cams!
Alright, I have been looking into cam's lately but I have never gotten a definate answer on one cam, and was wondering about comparisons to 2 others, alright so heres what my setup is going to be, full valvetrain upgrade, kooks longtubes 1 3/4, tsp true duals, slp lid, k&n filter, SSRA, 12 bolt with 4.10's(6 spd), traction suspension upgrades.
anyways, the cam question is this, what would be the power comparison of these 4 cams.
1: Thunder Racing T-Rex Cam, 242/248 .608/.612 110lsa
2: Thunder Racing split reverse cams (236/230 .602/.575 112 LSA) and (230/224 .575/.563 111lsa)
3: Texas Speed Performance MS3 237/242 .603/.609 113lsa
4: Texas Speed Performance 240/240 .608/.608 112lsa
Alright, My questions are as follows
A: Which would be the best cam for street driveability and power combination
B: Which would be the best cam for strip
C: would cam #4(240/240 .608/.608 112) allow for the stock pistons to clear the valves with stock heads(i have heard that all of the others will)
D: Give your opinions on which cam you think overall is the best, and what you think the power comparisons would be(these will all be tuned)

Out of all of those I would go with the TREX, it will make the most power.
Look at Smokin01TAs car, 10.6x at 126 and 331x raceweight. That is rolling.
All of these cams will clear with stock heads unless their intake centerlines differ greatly over what the TREX is, 108 intake centerline.

I guess I should also say, i'm not planning on juice or any forced induction on this car, and also, how streetable is the t-rex really? smokin said his car was perfectly streetable until he did some weight reduction.

Ive riding in smokin's car many time, before it was an all out race car it was rather street able. People will know you have a cam in it and with that exhaust idling you set car alarms off. Get the T-Rex, it sounds amazing and you will get used to driving it. Oh and his best run to date is 10.77.
