Default Help with a Cam? Drivability with heads and this cam? Need some input.

Hey guys... need some input on this one. Sold my SS and working on my 99 C5 now. I had problems before with my 01 SS with a Hotcam.

I'm wondering about drivability with this cam for my 99 C5, 6 speed car. It's a 224/228 .581"/.588" lift on a 113 LSA. It's a Comp XE-R grind. What do you guys think? I would run it with a set of worked 241 heads. Car already has full bolt on's, longtubes and etc.. It would also be custom tuned locally. I have the heads and cam.

I'm questioning drivability. It's my daily driver and don't want stumbling/stalling issues I had with the Hotcam in my SS, which was a PITA.

I need some input, what do you all think?
Thanks
Steve

I've got a slightly smaller 224/0.581/112 cam in my head/cam 01 C5 M6. Theres no drive ability problems with my car at all. Stop in go traffic is fine. Car won't stumble on accel or decel. Just make sure theres clearance (if milling the heads), be patient with the tuning, and enjoy it.

A friend of mine tried the Hot Cam and had the same issues, even with tuning. With the 224/224 .581/.581 112 in there now it idles perfect, even with the Hot Cam tune!

That cam should be great for drivability. With it being an xer on a 113 with moderate duration, those all help the drivability factor. The XER lobes allow greater idle quality than some of the lazier lobes of same duration. Having a 6 speed is always a plus too!
