Question Do stock LS1 Cams have Advance ground in?

Just wondering if stock LS1 F-body cams have advanced ground in? If so, how much?

Anyone know???

I believe they do. It depends on the cam shaft as to how much advance is ground in. Most of the time, you wont see any more than 4º. Usually its 2º or 4º.

Actually 98-00" has like 3 degrees of retard in it. The 01-02" might be the same but I can't recall off hand.

I think he's referring to aftermarket cams, but I could be wrong.

Beats me, man. Check out JRP's posts, I think he's had a couple cam doctored before, but I don't remember if there's any advance or retard ground in

Damn, totally missed that part. I guess I read it too fast. Anyhow, not sure on stock cams, but yeah, check JRP's site, I know he has specs on stock cams on there.

The retard part isn't on his stuff. I know for a fact because I am the one who did the cam doctor report on both cams for him.
