02 LS6 springs or 918's
which spring is required for this cam?
CC 220/224 530/534 112
i realize that the 918's are of choice....but i already have the 02 ZO6 springs and i tend to think that they will be ok for this cam
less lift and prob about the same ramp rates as the Z06 02 cam.... does the duration play into any stress of the springs?
even if the peak moves higher, i will not shift any higher than 6400-6500 with this cam....same that i currently shift at with the ZO6
Opinions anyone?

Which cam?
How high are you revving?
01 or 02 springs?
Thanks for the reply! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

With lifts of .525 to .550 I would use the 02 LS6 springs for sure. Factory springs don't break as much as the aftermarket stuff.

Re: 02 LS6 springs or 918's
i just bought a pair of SDPC ls6 heads that were CNCd by Lingfelter....they have 02 ZO6 springs
...the spec tag that came with the heads says the springs are good for a .570 lift
...i bought Lunati REV double springs and Ti retainers for these heads but i bet the stock springs would work great...just a hunch, however...

Jeez, I wonder why aftermarket springs break more ???? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

Re: 02 LS6 springs or 918's
The LS6 Cam has lifts of .550+ so the LS6 Springs should be fine with your Comp Cam as it is in the .530 range. I plan on using them also with a Comp Cam (212/218 114LSA)
Also, they are cheaper. <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" />
