Default Absolute Speed?

I was thinking about getting my stage 2 AS heads reworked and I don't see Abosolute Speed over on the sponsor's side aren't they a sponsor anymore?

You're right AS is no longer listed as a sponsor.I just can't understand the whole situation. Jay puts out a great product most people give him the benefit of the doubt when it comes to lengthy delivery schedules, and Jay still manages to get a lot of people pissed off at him. He needs to handle production and someone else needs to run the office. It's not only AS that screwed up look at TEA and there have been many others.

Yea back when I bought my heads I had great customer service from Jay and the shipping time was only a month and the heads looked and performed great thats why I wanted to upgrade them to maybe stage 2.5's.

sounds like unorganization to me...i know he makes a killer product...but i think, like said already, the business needs to be split between multiple workers so jay doesnt get swamped...and i think thats exactly what happened. its kinda like the carburetor doing all the work instead of splitting the air/fuel job between the injectors and the maf/tb. actually, i guess now the computer is doing all the work...anyway, im giving myself a migrane back to the point, i had a deal going with jay, but i didnt hear from him for months...so i had to take my business elsewhere. i hope for his sake he gets some organization so he can be a sponsor again. good luck to ya jay, hope everything works out

Absolute Speed owes a LOT of people alot of money AND product.

Their sponsorship has been pulled.

LS1tech no longer recommends them

Thanks,
Chris

It's a damn shame that it seems the Jay is following JPR's example. My buddy has been waiting for heads he paid for in full last February.

I talked to a kid last week who I bought my used 5.3 heads from. He said jay is pulling out of the internet business and is just dealing with local shops.

I talked to Jay a few times a few weeks ago and he stated he was going to get all the deals done. But the followup has been subpar so we have pulled the banner and he is not allowed to continue to advertise until he resolves the deals that folks have posted in that sticky.

I hate that this has happened to everyone that has a unresolved deal with him, he used to be great to deal with and his product's were second to none.

Sounds similar. When someone swears he will get everyone their stuff, then keeps losing contact and disappearing it's time to grab your ankles.

Haha, pardon me- can I borrow some Vasaline? I really hate stuff like this happening to our hobby, I still think Jay will pull through- though may take some time.

Its an stroker setup. (stock bore, just honed to 3.907)
4 inch eagle crank, 6.125 eagle rods and diamond pistons.
ARE Stage 3 heads (2.055/1.57) 11.8:1 comp and a 236/242 110LSA cam on XE-R lobes.

Times in sig were with cats on the car at 3600 pounds. (stock LS6 intake, stock MAF and stock ported Tbody)

Should be consistent mid 10's in the spring. (My 11.0 runs were on a 1.65 sixty LOL!)

PM me with any questions on the setup as I dont want to hijack this thread.
