Those who bought a thunder 224 cam...
Did it look used when you received it? A friend recently purchased one on ebay who said it was brand new..the numbers were ground off and there were signs of definate usage of some kind. Seller states thet thunder dynos all its cams before they ship them...anyone know this to be true or false.
He also claims the cam was sent to a cam Dr. to get checked because the numbers were ground off he wanted to be sure it was what he was told. Though I have faith... Feeling a little "concerned" and wanted some of your guys input.

The cams aren't dynoed. I believe any "custom" cam from Thunder (meaning any of the TR line of cams, or any custom order cams) are cam doctored before going out the door. That will not show any wear on the cam though. Looks like your friend may have been taken.

This is a great example of why I spend the extra bucks to buy new components from a reputable vendor . I'd never buy anything from ebay without seeing it up close first which explains why I never buy anything from ebay.

Hell I just got stiffed for an SLP lid on LS1.com ! To tell ya the truth , I don't think I will ever trust someone I don't know with my hard earned money unless I can see the part in person . There are too many losers lurking on the net trying to steal from people these days . . .

My TR224 was brand new lookin.. no wear.
On the same note.. Ive been screwed by someone on here before too... wont use any names although I should bash this person. Was a Y pipe, said it was in good shape, couldnt offer pics and on good faith I paid for it. When I got it it was banged to ****.. had a hole that was welded and was showing a hole again, and was hacked to **** too. I dont know why I didnt say F it and reverse my PP payment..
