Here are the full specs of the PRC spring kit.

seat : 140lbs
open: 390lbs
install : 1.800
coil bind: 1.07
1.290 O.D.
max lift : .660
matl : super pure chrome silicone

They differ because the PRC kit has more open/closed pressure and a different valve rate.

PRC has many new parts that will be released soon.

looks close to the PP's

(jason)
Doubles Good to ATLEAST .650 lift
Coil Bind Is At .720 lift...
Springs are Super Pure Chrome Silicone Vanadium
They're Electro polished to help spring life & remove spring impurities
They're 1.29” diameter so the heads require no extra machining!
Pressures:
140#@ Seat
390# Open

(terry)
135lbs @ 1.800
385lbs open
coil bind @ 1.08

whats the valve rate on the PRC's?

Aren't the springs in question made by the same company?

:dunno:, thats why im probing for info. im just wondering if there is any legit reason to buy the PRC's over the PP's when the PP's are almost spec for spec the same and come in at a lower price. im curious the spring rate to compare to my PP's.

Not only is our Patriot Gold kit more economical, it comes with more. Our kit comes with springs, ti retainers, viton rubber seals, machined bases, and New Super 7 Locks. Some kits only come with stock locks or no locks at all....just use your old, used locks. Why pay more for less?

BTW, who is PRC? Who owns the company? Where are they located? What is their phone number? What is their web or email address? Did anyone see their booth at the PRI show?

That's true, never seen anyone from PRC on the board anyway.

No magic here, "Associated Spring" makes them for everyone.

I've been buying the same springs in bulk for a while now.

Good pieces no matter what color!

Gunnar you forgot to mention the "Gold finish" costs a lil extra even though its just cosmetic.

I tried to "google" PRC (Precision Race Components) but found nothing.

I'm with Gunnar on that one. I don't think PRC are worth more than PP.

Besides, before I buy anything I tend to research the product: Who makes it, reliability, cost, etc. When RaceTech tells me that it's "secret and was never released" then usualy it means that they hide something.... Sorry, difference between .650 and .660 valve spring advertised lift is minimal. (and I'm sure that's PRC's advertising catch anyway) I'll take a proven and less expensive kit from PP.....

There is many well known companies that do not set up a booth at PRI.Setting up a booth doesn't give a company an automatic stamp that the product they sell is worthy, and better than others.PRC is handled by the proven companies that sell their products. If you need information call a retailer.

If the super 7 setup from Patriot is so good, why didn't AFR use it when they were buying the gold spring?AFR no longer uses this spring.I have friends that have broken the super 7 locks. There also have been folks on the board who have broken them.If you want something that is proven and never failed, its the GM lock.

You're a retailer for PRC, so why don't you give us their phone number and address.

You would think they would want the business, or is it supposed to be a secret?
