Default Which Power Adder *feels* better?

For those of you who have experienced, big n/a, blower, turbo and spray, which one feels better when you get on it? Which gives you the biggest kick and biggest smile?

first off all, big n/a isnt a power adder...but anyways. ive experienced a supercharger and a turbo.
the supercharger has a feel where when you step on it, you instantly go. its ok
the turbo however, lacks power when you step on it (spool-up) and then pulls like a stunna, so its more satifying (way more)

I'd have to agree. I'm a big supercharger fan, but the turbo gives you the satisfation a little more. NOS is mighty fun too though, and much cheaper!

spray hits the hardest... instantly puts 150 or whatever ur spraying to the rear wheel and gobs of tq... turbos suck unless done right... there dyno graphs peak really high.. like lets say a supra make 600 hp at 7000rpm.. its gonna make about 200 about 3000rpm...

I've been in a turbo'd, blown and juiced car...As stated already turbo cars are just fun imo...Any car with any power adder is fun, but the feel of slowly being sucked into your seat is kinda cool

Not that theres anything wrong with being slammed in your seat instantly either, thats fun too...I just like the feel of the boost building.

I've had all four if you include a large stroker engine. The spray will hit the hardest providing the most torque. Followed by large cube stroker engine, supercharger then turbo.

Turbo and Nitrous have a hard hit.The blower is gradual.

correct me if im wrong, but isnt the nitrous and blower instant and harder, and the turbo is gradual due to the turbo lag?

a properly setup turbo can give you gobs of tq throughout the powerband and imo hearing it spool in conjunction with that power would put the biggest smile on my face.

The power a centrifugal supercharger delivers is based upon engine speed and usually rises at a consistent rate all the way to redline. A turbo on the other hand runs off of exhaust gases so will produce minimal power initially, but will hit hard and give an almost instant and large power increase once the turbo spools up. The lack of initial power is what gives the turbo such a SOTP feel once the boost comes on. Depending on the size and design of the turbo, the feeling will vary. In general bigger turbos will give you a stronger SOTP feel once they spool over smaller turbos that have very little lag. I hope that made some sense.

Nitrous hits hardest, but turbos are the most fun (when they are running correctly).

I think that turbos feel better. My brother has a little honda del sol that has a pt-67 on it and it made 530whp and let me tell you, that thing feels real good. Now I know this is a v8 forum and i have never driven a turbo'd v8 so I can't comment on that.

I have had all of the above on many vehicles that I owned and worked on.
I like all of them, I can't live with just one for long, reason I switch setups so often.

Nitrous. Nothin can beat that super hard hit from a big shot. Nothin like shakin up the drivtrain and being slug from the spot you were sitting with a violet snap! So much fun to roll WOT then hit the button and have it instantly feel like you turned on another motor.

Supercharger. Depending on the kind.
Roots sorta feels like a big cube motor becuase of th instant boost and torque but with a cool whinning sound
Centrifical, Just keeps pullin harder all the way to redline.

Turbo. might be a close second to nitrous. The feeling of it sorta lagging then spooling . You here it start pumpin good then it just puts you to the seat and continues on the pull till redline, almost like nitrous when you ahve a auto car, just don't notice the gear shift makes the converter flash pretty high and just pulls till you let of the gas.

Nothin beats the two combined. I think nitrous and a turbo just go hand in hand. Get that hard hit off the line then just continue to pull so hard you are sure something is going to scatter on the road. Doesn't hurt to have a bunch of cubes to go with it too.

Big cubes, turbos, superchargers, and the hose all way to make more power So they are all good in my book. I have a hard time deciding when building a vehicle, rarely do I pic one.

satisfaction wise you cant beat a huge stroker motor......think about it, your car can pull violently and then theres still the possibility of adding a power adder. besides beating a supercharged, nitrous or turbo car without a power adder is awesome in anyones book

Nitrous with a -8 feed line and solenoids as big as beer cans.
