Default Hooker Cat-back?

Does anyone use or have opinions on the Hooker Cat-back systems?

It's a great cat-back for the money and sounds good on both stock and header setup.
Do a search in the external section by starting with the exhaust guide sticky at the top. There will be alot of threads discussing it with most being complimentary.

My roomate runs a hooker catback on his 00 z. The rest of his exhaust is stock. I really like the way it looks and sounds.

I've had it on my car with Kooks headers and catted-y for a few months (around 8 months or so)...I liked it, but not enough to keep it. It is currently getting switched out for a true dual setup. It is nice and quiet cruising though, which I really really liked about it. Tame until you get on it, but just didn't have the sound at WOT I was going for.

All in all, it was a good catback for the money, and installed very easily. It is very well made for what it is.

It's got a slight rumble (no rasp) at idle It really screams at WOT. I love mine, and have had several compliments on the sound

I've run it for a while and must say I'm completely satisfied with it. LTs, no cats, and importantly, no rasp. At idle and cruising it is very tame, but when you get on it, it screams nicely.

I have it, my brother has and one of my buddies has it on his car. I love it, Its quite at idle, and has no rasp, it sounds really awesome at wot. I have long tubes and an off road y pipe. No rasp. My brother only lost 6 rwhp over an open cutout. It flows really well. Plus if i want it to be extremely loud I open my electric cutout....

I just put the Hooker system on my car 2 days ago in place of my Loudmouth. I love the way it sounds. I did have a cutout put on just incase it gets too quiet.

I've had mine on for 2+ years.
Good sound, no rasp (MAC+ORY), I've had a little issue with the pipe hitting at the bend going over the axle, easy to fix though. I get a lot of compliments on the way it sounds.

Lots of good input. Will it improve power over the stock SLP dual/dual that i have now? Is it worth the switch? Thanks

It'll make a tad more rwhp, and yes I think it's worth the switch if you want more of a throaty growl to the car.

I've had a total of 8 catback systems on my car since 1998, and I stuck with the Hooker ever since 2001 and have NO plans of every changing it. For 280 bucks, it is the absolute BEST catback on the market.....

Its a good system for the money and it perform well too. I gained 8rwhp 5rwtq only with a cutout over the hooker which is not bad at all.
