Default Is it possible to make 450rwhp in a automatic?

I have a guy going to put my heads, cam, 28lbs injectors, ls6 intake, underdrive pulleys, 3000 stall, and line lock on and he told me i might not be able to make the 450rwhp with patriot stage 2 re-ported and re-worked heads with a 598. 595 lift cam. I think its possible with the mods i already have and do you think i could make it to the 11s with that set up and 3:73s.

thanx josh

11's, no problem. 450 rwhp may be tough to do though with an auto.

with tires and suspension you can easily get into 11's 450rwhp is iffy...what are the specs besides the lift...that seems fairly stout...but i doubt you will get 450rwhp i know that a few people made over 450rwhp with a cam similar to that but it was in a 6-speed...and that was considered rare...so i doubt it...i'd be looking for ~425rwhp...but your track times should really be the only thing you care about since you will run faster than a 6-speed with 450rwhp...good luck...you won't make 11's without tires and suspension prolly because of traction issues...i'd go as far as saying high 10's are possible with this setup...with proper tires/suspension

you'll probably make closer to 410-420 locked...im assuming its the tsp 231/237 cam since those lift #'s are the same...i made 373 to the wheels locked with a tci 3500 stall, that cam, patriot s2 5.7 perim heads, and dynoed in 2nd gear because of my 2.73's...i figure if i dynoed in 3rd i wouldve been closer to 390 and with an ls6 intake id probably inch over the 400 mark too bad the car is dead now, wouldve been fun to try.

With the right tire and suspension, yes.

450rwhp thru an A4 is very rare by the way.

I dont know what my car dyno's as its never been on a dyno with my new setup but I would imagine I'm around 430RW given my 123.73 trap speed at 3365lbs so 450RW would be kinda tuff,I guess with a huge cam and alittle better head I could get close but peak # aren't my bag...

In a realistic light, I will venture to say that setup will be in the 11.4-11.5 range on a full weight car. 450 RWHP is extremely doubtful IMO, but possible depending on what your numbers are now (factory freak). The 28# injectors will probably be near max duty as well, would of opted for the 30# SVO's.

Good luck!

then i guess JS has a crazy car if he is running a 10.89@123.73 in close to a full weight car...i'd say 3600lbs is typical

My car is far from full weight----->3365lbs in race trim = 10.89@123.73
It has run 11.33@119 at 3590lbs and 11.17@121 at 3590lbs with the LSX/90

geez....doesn't seem like 200lbs can make 0.40 difference...that's crazy...but i wouldn't really say that is FAR from full weight it is only 200lbs...either way very nice ride...what did you do to get rid of the 200lbs?

441rwhp with a safe tune for spray! I have 12-bolt,3.73 gears, stall, A4 tranny and heavy *** ZR-1`s. We could have gotten another 10-15rwhp with a more aggressive tune. Better safe running alittle rich and pull alittle timing for a 150 shot Look in my sig for everything. It can be done. I did it. I will tell you this. My car goes sideways at a 20-30 roll. It`s plain sweet! Got 650 rwhp and 655rwtq with a 150 shot. Now thats sweet on a stock bottom 346.

Your numbers are awsome, but out of the norm as well I think, maybe that new MTI cam . I got 430 RWHP without the FAST intake/TB and 12 bolt.

I know how hard in a full weight car it is to get even low 11's let alone 10's N/A. to many people think it's a slam dunk if you do this to your car, this is what you will get at the track. Matched components is what makes you fast IMO, along with other variables..

I got in the 10's on a 224 cam only full weight (-back seats, jack spare) with a 200 shot dry and a VIG3200.
Power is not all, traction has a lot to do with it.

can't stress taction enough...you can have an 800rwhp car run 15's in the 1/4 if it doesn't have traction

10s are very doable in an A4 H/C car. I turned 10.9x multiple times with a small ST3500 converter with a stock 10 bolt with 3.23s. I now have a PT4200 stall and the G1 MTI cam with the same heads and all 6 passes so far were in the 10s as well. We weigh in at 3350ish with a/c, airbags radio etc. The seats are pulled for race weight, but that's with driver included. Traction and air quality are important, but a good tune is also critical.

We are just now warming up. Mid 10s coming soon!!!!
