Default F13 is in!!!

I finished up the F13 install this morning and fired it up. First impression is the cam is AWESOME. The F13 give up some around 2500, is about equal maybe a little stronger to 4000, and the it comes on strong. Very nice increase over the TR224 above 4000. Above 6000 its ON!!!! Pulls like a raped ape to 6700 when I shift it. Street manners are a little better than the TR224. Very suprising to say the least as the TR224 was a great daily driven came. Now the fine tuning comes!!!!

The cam is on a 112+4 and is running on Comp 978 springs. Valvetrain noise is no worse than the TR224. I've put about 30 miles on it and the puter is learning pretty good and is getting better and better. It has alittle buck to it in 1st and 2nd if you bog it down, but I'm on stock gears right now. I got a set of 3.73's to put in next week that should help alot with that. I idles great at 825 and does real well on hot restarts, or pretty much any condition for all that matters. The car is tuned though. Had the tune rock solid with the TR224 and so far the fueling isn't much off if any. I'll dyno next week and iron it out. I'll post #'s asap.

hmm...it pulls pretty far for being on a 112+4lsa...i didn't think this cam was supposed to pull to 6700...i figured it would start dropping off at around 6200...typically the lower lsa the lower the powerband...correct? i hate all this +2,+4 crap...it always get's me confused...i guess i need to just sit down one day and learn it....i'm just lazy

me and you both.. sounds like a great cam though! so i guess the lesson learned for me is if i was intending to go with the tr224, might as well atleast go a lil bigger like the f11 or f13!

Congratulations! I just got done installing my F12 on 112 LSA. It fired right up and runs damn good on a stock tune! I am still breaking in the springs so I have not taken it above 3500 rpm's. The valve train noise is non existent. Before I had a loud ticking because of a bent pushrod. Now it is quiet and runs smooth.

Took it out doing some tuning runs. It's a little leaner than the 224 was up top and had to make some adjustments to get it to idle perfect. This things pulls and pulls. Caught me off guard and tapped the limiter at 6800 and it still wanted to go! Very happy with the cam! Played with a buddy tonight with a fast 224 cammed, 3500 convertor, full bolt on SS and I was real happy with the way the car ran. Through the muffler! Sounds insane through the cutout!
