Default Need some predictions on a Cam

based on 01-Z post and his experince with the G5X2 cam. He said he made peak HP at 6300rpm and peak TQ at 4800RPM. My question is, if the cam has the same specs(232/240), but using a 114 lope instead of 112, would it peak before or after these numbers?

I think this also depends on the ICL(intake centerline)

I have to look @ other G5X-2 dynos to see
if they peak in the same places.
If it's different, exhaust may play a role also.

I think LSA determines the width/length of
the powerband.But I'll let the experts take over. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I just did a search and checked out some
other dyno graphs.
Rageman's and Glenn's(H/C)
they are both just like mine.

I'm not a computer guy,I don't know how to
do all that stuff.
Other than posting,I'm lost. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Where are the cam experts... I heard here is the place to ask such a question, but until now no help!! The reason I'm asking is because I might be the first guy who get this cam from LG. I just want to know what to expect. Thank you.

I'm no expert. But if you only change the LSA, and all else is equal (ie lobe profiles, install etc.),then in theory the wider (larger) LSA should move peak HP/TQ down in the RPM range. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
