Default EGR Manifold Plug

i was wondering how do you install the LS1 EGR Intake Manifold Plug. do you just hammer it in or what? thought it would say hammer in this way or screw this way or something.

I used a freeze plug. Can't remember what size it was. Is this plug of a similar style? If so, put the plug in the freezer for at least a 1/2 hour and then just tap it in place.

How about a rubber freeze plug ( type which expands when you tighten bolt on top of plug) I ran one for 6o days with no problem untill I change intake

My dad machined up an aluminum plug with a o-ring seal. Looks alot nicer than most of the expandable plugs. If anybody would ne interested in something like that I could talk to him about making more.

You can sort of see it in this picture. It has since been sold, but can probably get a better close up pic of it if needed.

That's all that I used. I forget the size (found it with search easily enough when I did it though (1 5/8" sound familier???) and it was a pretty tight fit but I figure that's better than leaking air.
