Default ls1 smog??

yep i live in gay *** cali, but i cant complain, its decent. but i need to know how far i can build my motor and still be able to smog? any help is appreciated.

what if i want to go alot of boost. can i put rods and pistons and bearings in it without messing emissions?

the shortblock has little to do with emissions. with bolt ons, stock cam or FI grind witth little overlap, and tune you could see 450 smog legal rwhp. just make sure the blower has a carb number, i believe vortech has one.

to make any good power n/a you need LT's, heads, cam, some compression, !cats, all which are detrimental to smog. sure you can get a smog grind cam, carb approved shorties, high flow cats, heads, ect but by the time your done with that you'd be lucky to be near the 400rwhp mark and you've already spent thousands. thousands which could of gone to a blower and tune.

oh, and just for the record my car is n/a and not smog legal
