Question Which timing chain works with ASP Pulley?

When I had my cam installed, the shop that installed it left my stocker in the motor...
Why so? Is there any timing chain that will work with an ASP pulley thats more reliable than the stock chain? TIA

I left my stock chain on, many people have without any probs. How radical of a cam did you go? I went with a TR224.

If you have the old style ASP pulley, the one that isn't SFI approved, then your best bet is to go with the JWIS chain if you don't want to swap the pulley, but if you aren't comfortable with just an upgraded chain, you'll need to upgrade to the newer pulley and then you'll have more of a selection on the timing chain sets. I personally would recommend the Rollmaster as that is what I've come across most. Or...you could get your old style pulley machined. Besides the newer pulley being SFI approved, they machined them differently so that you dont run into the problem with the double roller timing chain sets. The JWIS chain is used in the C5R motor, so that should be enough proof that it's strong enough. The only down side to just upgrading the chain is that you wont be able to adjust the timing or degree the cam. Hope that helps...

I like it cause it's stronger, less than $30, and doesn't require spacers. I have the rollmaster double on my car, which i like but i think it's overkill. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...2+timing+chain
