Can you cut a valve relief .060 deep in a stock piston and not cause problems?

Timberwolf, I would say its only smart to consider your combination. If you need to cut .100 and your trying to spray a 200 shot on a stock bottom your not playing it safe, more like roulette. .060" and NA "shouldn't" be a problem....operative word is shouldnt. Remember all the parts to these engines are cast, hyperuetectic etc so there may be some flaw in the materials as well causing one person who cuts a .060" to break a piston. Just a thought, not trying to scare you or anyone. Just the old saying, what works for one person may not work for you.
Good luck.

What kind of lobe are you talking about? I run a .651" lift 239 duration LSK comp lobe. Like Louis said, without the rest of the specs nothing will be known about your p/v clearence.
