Default Retainers and high perf valves???

Are all LS1 retainers and valves the same?

That is, if I replace my valves with Manleys or something else, will the standard aftermarket titanium retainers work?

TIA

As long as you stick with ls1 specific 8 mm valves.

I'm sure the manufacturers would disagree with that statement, but basiclly they are mostly the same, as for the retainers it depends on which retains you want to get and what springs they are going on. The titanium ones for stock springs will work with 918's but not with other aftermarket springs, some are spring specific.

Going with 918 springs and the Titanium retainers that came with them...my concern was when we change out the valves and go with something like a Manley 2.05" intake.

You will need to get machining and a valve job done to the heads if they haven't been fitted for those bigger valves.
