Default Head & Cam setup... Will it work????

I have been trying to figure out a nice streetable setup for my car and I just want to run it by you guys to see what you think. Will this combination work
I am having the heads ported and polished along with a valve job done by a machine shop near me. I also plan on going w/ an LSX intake manifold and TB.
What are your opinions. Is this cam to big for a daily driver?

really depends on you more than anything, I would not want a cam that large for my DD, but its all what you want and can tolerate.

if i were u id look into the tsp torquer cam (233/233 .589/.589 112 lsa) there are a couple guys on here with this cam on stock heads on their daily driver. there are actually a few sound clips on here of the torquer. with good tuning, u could make this a good daily driver cam with killer power. i think wuts gonna hurt u is your a4. they dont respond as well to big cams as m6 cars do. y dont u throw a nice lil set of heads on there. most 01-02 guys go with just the cam since the 01-02 heads flow better than 98-00. anyway, good luck with it

I think a lot of poeple are being dragged in by "mamoth cam" hype. I am an advocate of smaller cams. Read around, AFR 224/228, making in excess of 480rwhp. My 224/220 making 404rwhp cam only and a balanced combo.
Most of the "huge cams" are designed for cam only, for poeple wanting the most peak HP the cheapest way possible, or for ego strokers that want to say "mine is bigger than yours".
Then there is the drag fanatics and those are justified.

You do not need those cams to make good street power. Do a lot more reading and research, then ask this question again.
disclaimer: (This is MY opinion and what I proved and believe in)

NO, in excess off 480 rwhp with AFR heads. Look around in the dyno section, you'll find it.

Just to give an illustration of what I mean, look at the graph overlay of these 3 different cams. (1 mild by todays standards, 1 medium and 1 fairly big)

I love this graph

Look carefully at the TR224 "under the curve power".green

How about a TSP 231/237 .598"/.595", 112 LSA OR
Torquer 233/233 Cam: 233/233, .589"/.589", 112 LSA
Is that a little more reasonable???

i think what hes saying is u dont need a big cam to see good power "under the curve" which is where it really matters anyway. peak numbers dont mean ****, its before the peak that u will mostly experience.
