Anyone gone high 10s with Magic Stick 3?
From what I have heard, the MS3 with the right setup can hit high tens. My friend thinks I am crazy. Since the cam is fairly new not many people have it. I see a lot of T-REXs running high tens. So i thought high tens would't be out of the question for me with a built rear end, some suspension, gears, stout driveshaft, slicks, alot of practice, and a good tune (im untuned right now). My car feels real good even untuned I can keep up with bolt on zo6s really well shifting at 6 grand cause of stock limiter.
Really my question is if it is possible, what do I need to run high tens?

I just ordered the MS3 for my 03 Z06 and hope to get in the high tens as well...adding the FAST 90 and EWP too!
I expect traps to be around 125-127 and the sixties will have to be less than 1.5 to get there.
Ohh - and some great driving as well.

okay has anyone noticed there is a bolton car in the 10.99 range???
i think adding 60 or so hp from a large cam could net some 10.90's.. but yes u will have to drop wieght, have a great rear and pray it hooks.. if not then spray a lil gas on it or get heads too, either should put u well into the 10's.

sweet!! I didn't think this cam was capable of those kind of times! I was just hoping for some mid 11's at the most. I just bought this cam a few weeks ago and I'll be installing it in a few weeks.
Nice to know I should make my goal easily!!

As mentioned by others, 10-second timeslips from our MS3 camshaft and stock cylinder heads depends on driving ability, weight with driver, suspension, 60', weather conditions, etc. There are a TON of factors that come into play. The camshaft certainly makes enough power to get you to 10's, but there's much more to it than sliding in a cam and side-stepping the clutch. The stock-headed 10-second M6 cars will have raceweights in the 3100-3200 lb. range, 12-bolts with steep gearing (i.e. 4.56's), a quality aftermarket clutch, a decent amount of suspension mods, a 28" slick out back and skinnies up front, and a great sea-level track that hooks HARD. You'll normally see the guys with the records running at great tracks that see some great density altitude such as Houston Raceway Park, No Problem Raceway in Louisiana, Englishtown, etc.
Does the MS3 make the power to run 10's? NO DOUBT Does it take a lot of other work and factors coming together? NO DOUBT
Feel free to give me a call or e-mail me at trevor@texas-speed.com if you have any questions or concerns. I'll be happy to help you set the car up for your goal.
