Default What do you think? F11/bolt ons track time?

I usually don't post anything like this because i know that most people don't think you can really get a precise estimate on a track time.. But its winter and i keep putting all kinds of money into my car and i'm wondering if the track times will even be worth it..

Mods:
SLP headers
3200 Vig
SLP air lid
No cats w/ Cut out
160 stat
manual fan switch
4L60E with shift kit
3.42 gears
F11 Cam w/ all valvetrain
Ls6 intake w/ removed EGR and AIR
Removed Sway bar
Lower control arms
Kenny Brown SFC's
S3 Throttly Body
ASP Crank pulley
QA1 front shocks and springs
Comp. engineering rear shocks
Weld draglite 15x3.5 fronts and 15x8 rear w/ MT Et street drags

I should be getting a Dyno tune very soon.. Anyone want to make a rough estimate on my Dyno numbers?

Anybody have the same set up or close and wants to make a guess at a track time? LIke i said i don't usually post stuff like this.. But any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot

With stock heads, you should do 400-410 rwhp. Depending on your launch, I'd say you could run an 11.30-11.70.

400+ RWHP in an A4 FM11 with stock heads? Really?

Yeah I think it will. One guy did 414 with an A4 a while back (with 10 bolt). A lot of people think there's a huge diff in power between the FM11 and FM13, but the only real difference is 6-8 peak rwhp, and that's out of Allan's mouth.

Candy told me that as well. Anyways, I split the difference and went with the F12.

I can see about 390-400 rwhp and about a 11.2-11.4. If you don't mae those numbers, change out your headers for ones that flow better.

That's cool. I put my FM11 in a few days ago, and did some minor editing with HP tuners for drivabilty. I'll do my WOT tune next week. I'm really looking forward to the numbers I get now. Didn't realize it was that strong.

Maybe on a M6 but no way in an A4. I bet you will be closer to 380-385 and run 11.50 - 11.60 once it is tweaked in. I did n't see an underdrive pulley in the mod list either.

380-385? Those are hotcam numbers. I know 3 guys with this cam in automatics and only one of them is putting down less than 400, and he's doing 397. If you do 380 with a a F11, you have problems.

well i went 11.50 with the 224 cam and slp LT's and vig3600/3.23's cam only

I would think you should be anywhere in the 11.3-11.9 range once you get the 60ft and car dialed in right

i have a F11 going in tomorrow

Well my goal in the 1/4 mile was hoping to be anywhere from a 11.5-11.7.. sounds like i was pretty much in the ballpark! Maybe i'll get lucky and get even lower than that..

and i do have headers that flow good.. I think SLP's are some of the best out

and as for the underdrive pulley.. i am just getting the ASP crank pulley(i am afraid my battery won't hold a strong charge for the alternator pulley)

I thought the F13 would be a little bit more powerful! I'm suprised its only a 6-8 rwhp difference.. Which cam is better for spraying nitrous? I can't wait to get a dyno tune!

Thanks for all the replies! i greatly appreciate it

I was wondering if you have a 10 bolt or a 12 bolt, since I dont see it in your sig. Oh, and the alternator pulley is actually intended to HELP your charging, at least thats how mine is... it's an overdrive pulley, but maybe they make an underdrive alt. pulley as well. As far as nitrous goes, either cam will do just as well, they're basically the same cam. You dont need to worry about having very nitrous friendly cams until you are spraying a fairly large shot.

Well i have a 10 bolt that i plan on breaking this season haha.. Hopefully it lasts though.. i'll end up getting a 12 bolt most likely sometime down the road.. Would an alternator overdrive pulley actually benefit you? Does ASP make it? I haven't heard of them.. let me know! Thanks for responding!

I think autos have to have the overdrive alt pulley if you had the underdrive crank pulley. Otherwise your battery wouldn't stay charged.
