Default Futral F-13 is in.

Sold the TR224 and put in the F-13. Sounds great. In case anyone is interested, it fit with a set of 241 Heads milled .030 with 2.02/1.57 valves. I used GM head gaskets. Pistons are NOT notched. Allen said it would fit and it did. It was on a 113LSA +4

I also have the TR224 and I am waiting for my F-13 to get here as we speak. How much of a difference is there with the F-13 so far as idle and seat of the pants? I will also get allan to tune it shortly after. I'm hoping for a 15-20 hp increase after tuning.

No track times. Actually it is 20 degrees out and snowing so no test drives either. The idle seems close to the TR224. Spring time will not come fast enough...

The TR224 was on a 114 +4. Did you ever dyno your car with the F13 in it with the heads?

Yeah it did 410/383. The heads were APE S1 heads (called S1, but flowed 300/220, had 2.02 & 1.60 valves, etc so basically equivalent to a S2 head), through a 12 bolt with 4.30s, full exhaust (no cutout), full belts, 18x10.5 wheels, 295/35/18 wheels, and old tuning from a previous H/C setup.

How does the F13 comapre in idle and driveability to your 224/224 114?

Good luck with it, Shawn

It seems to idle pretty much the same, can't drive it yet, snow is getting pretty deep... I'll get it dynoed in the spring. I think it will work well with my AS Stage 2 heads. They flowed 306 @ .600 and had great mid lift numbers as well.

You can get the FM 13 on a 114 with no idle problems with a proper tune. That I can garantee.

Congrats! Just swapped the TR224 for a FM13 myself and it I was suprised how it picked up over the TR224 as I loved that cam!

BTW..... a couple of us FM13 guys have a strange whistle when you rev the car. Did yours pick up this whistle?

Congrats on the install. You'll definately like that cam.

I just had mine dynoed tuned 2 days ago. You'll have more to look forward to then I did since you have heads. I gained 54 HP over my best full bolt-on run just from the F13. For instance, let's say you gained 25 with your TR224 then I'd guess another +35HP with your heads would be possible. Good Luck!
